Boys looking at maid uniforms

I’d assume taking photos isn’t allowed at Shibuya’s LoFt [department store], but I just had to get this snap. Bunch of high school boys are looking at maid uniforms at the 7 th floor and having a whispered conversation. I don’t think they were actually going to buy any, but didn’t find out. I split from the scene after getting my snap.

Loft is Seibu’s answer to Tokyu Hands, also offering a large array of products related to interior, hobby, crafts and gifts, but with a slightly less strong emphasis on do-it-yourself. The Loft Shibuya branch consists of seven floors. Open daily from 10:00 to 21:00 (until 20:00 on Sundays and public holidays). Occasional closing days.

The top floor is filled with toys, mobile phone straps, anime/manga character goods – and maid costumes. It’s near the metro station and is a good place for shopping practical or ordinary Japanese things for souvenirs.
