The zodiac sign of TAURUS is associates with the month of April and it is represented by the bull. In some of the standard medieval iconographic compositions, the bull is represented with prominent horns and can face in either direction. The bull is usually depicted standing in a landscape, but there are cases when the background is plain. The animal usually stands but in some examples it is shown lying down. In the modern horoscope, the zodiac sign of TAURUS covers the period from about April 20 – May 20.
