As I mentioned before, a flower against the backdrop of a fence is something that I cannot simply let go without taking a few snaps. And the question that I had was on what it signified to me. I think I knew the answer even before I decided to click these flowers.

For me, they personify ‘Hope’ and these flowers are hope itself. The unrelenting battle to survive, the will to win against all odds and to not rest till the aim is attained. They vividly bring before my eyes the film "Shawshank Redemption" or the victory of Obama in the presidential race or Steve Waugh against the west indies pacemen or the success of people who have overcome great challenges to establish a name for themselves.
