…and suddenly, it was Winter.

Two days ago, the forecast for the first snowfall of the season called for light snow- less than an inch of accumulation in the early morning, then 3 to 5 inches by nighttime. Instead, it snowed steadily, an inch or so an hour… Until noon, when it suddenly turned into A FOOT OF SNOW, ALL AT ONCE, IN UNDER THREE HOURS.

It literally shut down entire highways and main roads around here. We were stuck on the main road in/out of the city for almost two hours, but there were people not-as-lucky- like the buses of schoolchildren, for instance- who were stuck for five hours.

Judging by the look on his face, Dante- customized ‘Twilight’ Emmett- is about as done with Winter as I am.

Sweater is vintage, possibly handmade. Scarf is vintage Barbie. Jeans and boots (not pictured) are model’s own.

Think I like it better as a monochrome

In spite of an optimistic weather forecast, the fog clung on. These Pelicans on special purpose "Roosting’ towers for Cormorants, decided that a sleep in would be better than flying about aimlessly.
