I am notorious for hoarding stuff. I never know when it might come in handy but that does mean there are tins, boxes and drawers filed with completely useless items.
This is the top of an inkwell or a glass bottle for a writing box or compendium. I found it a car boot sale for a few pence and though that migt be useful – I restore furniture, that was some time ago!
